i have a BA from Simon Fraser University, with a double-major in communication and english, a minor in gender studies, and a certificate in writing & rhetoric. i am currently an MA candidate in the english department at SFU, but i have clearly decided to never truly leave its hallowed halls because i am applying there for further graduate study.
i like cats, robots, hockey, fanfiction, most things that are purple, all holmes and watsons, and writing with minimal capitalization.

note: this is my professional/academic journal, rather than my fannish one, but my research interests are informed by my history in fandom. when i decided it was time that i needed a public academic blog, an LJ-based system like dreamwidth which has features other platforms simply do not, seemed like the best fit.
i like a good argument (bonus points if you get the reference).
